Dec 22nd 2023 Jan 7th – Rhine Cruise –
onboard the Amadeus From Cologne-Strasbourg
What a magical time exploring the Xmas markets of Frankfurt & Cologne before boarding our river cruise over the Xmas week
Jan 7th to Feb 11th 2024 – Amsterdam to South of France
After finishing the cruise we travelled to Amsterdam then to the South of France to explore the region & escape the cold.
May 1st to May 31st – Vietnam – Cambodia – Thailand – Laos
Took a Luxury Escapes trip through Vietnam & Cambodia then explored Thailand &across to Laos
Sep 1st Nov 4th – Spain – Morocco – Portugal – France – UK – Scotland – Wales
HIGHLIGHTS: Fabulous trip from Barcelona to Madrid then to the top of Morocco & back to Gibraltar before heading into Portugal to Porto. After that we took buses up through Santiago De Compostela in Spain to Bordeaux and on to Castelandary where we met up with friends for a fabulous barge trip down the “Canal duMidi”.
We then flew to Manchester UK and did a loop of Scotland before meeting up with friends in Wales for a wonderful week. Back to Nottingham & London before flying home. WOW – what a trip.

Sep/Oct 2023 – Silk Rd Uzbek to Xian
A journey along the famous Silk Road – Starting in Uzbekistan (Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent) Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Lake Issik Kul) Kazakstan (Almaty) then flight to China (Urumqi, Turpan, Dunhuang, Jiayuguan, Lanzhou, Xian. about 6,500Km of history in one amazing adventure.

Oct – China Tea Horse Trail
After the Silk Road Lenore and myself spent a couple of weeks travelling on the old southern Silk Road which linked the tea trade with China & Europe. A stop at Chengdu to see the Pandas then into Yunnan Province to Lijiang, Shangri La, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Dali & Kunming before Home
HIGHLIGHTS: The Pandas at the research & breeding Centre in Chengdu – probably the laziest, cutest animal on earth. Population has grown from 6 in the 70’s to 146 today. What a success – good onya China!!
